MNDSGN:
Signed to indie stalwart Stones Throw Records, MNDSGN, is a forward thinking hip-hop producer and songwriter performing live solo with keyboards and vocals..
The growth and evolution of Ringgo Ancheta as Mndsgn is a wonderfully unexpected journey of discovery. Raised in suburban South Jersey, his most formative introductions to the world of creativity came through B-Boying, Gospel church and rap videos. He immersed himself in Fruity Loops as a teen and started creating curious sounds—part rap beats, part electronic experiments. After buzzing locally, he took a chance one-way trip to LA on the strength of the Beat Scene hype and found himself at home in the sun-soaked streets of LA. After years of building community through collaborations and performances, his blissed-out tunes caught the ears of Stones Throw Records. His debut album cemented Mndsgn as a premier producer of the label’s next generation of artists.

He’s since toured the world over, released more than a dozen projects and been a part of countless collaborations. He’s formed Akashik Records with a crew of conspirators, aimed at delivering ultra-curated, hyper-personalized musical offerings to the public. Looking to instill a sense of balance to the listener, harmony remains a central value to Mndsgn’s journey

MNDSGN recently released “Ya Own Way” July 2016:

ELAQUENT:
Canadian-based producer Elaquent is certainly no rookie in the thriving beat scene. Known for his smooth, soulful style; his off-kilter, neck-break beats; and his obsession with Batman and Sega Genesis, Elaquent is finally beginning to reach his full potential. Elaquent, or “eQ” as he is also known by, has been making his mark on the independent beat scene in a big way over the last few years, with a large discography of well received instrumental albums. Since the ninth grade, eQ has been mastering his production techniques, creating a sound uncommon to the crop of other local producers. Citing J Dilla and DJ Premier as some of his earliest influences, eQ has become much of a fan favorite among beat afficionados in Toronto. After a string of successful releases, including “Believing” , “The Scenic Route” and “Green Apples and Oranges”, eQ has begun to take his show on the road, armed with his trusty SP-404sx loaded full of beats. Having toured all around the United States and many parts of Europe, eQ shows no signs of slowing down. Signed to HW&W Recordings (based out of Los Angeles), the enthusiastic producer is already planning a number of albums, live shows and collaborations. Needless to say, Elaquent is on the come-up.

Duchess Says
Duchess Says is a Canadian dance punk band that was created in late 2003 in Montreal by four influent members of the Church of Budgerigars who decided to collaborate together in a common musical project. Their goal was to insure a faithful representation of the message of the Duchess (or spiritual budgie) through a precise artistic dialog. Composed of Annie-Claude Deschênes (vox, keytar, guit, programmations), Ismaël (keyboard, guitar, programmations), Phil (guitar, bass, feedbacks) and Simon Says (lo-fi beats, drums and doubtful noises). Duchess Says is serving a repertory of “moog rock” songs strong in images and enormoustly intense live performances! Their musical influences range from no wave, new wave, punk, to cinema and visual arts. If you pay attention, you could see them perform in the most unusual places such as golf courses, shop windows, vacant buildings, etc. Duchess Says has the mandate to decontextualise the rock and to promote simultaneously their Church on the way.
