Singer needed for rock band #hamontmusic #hamont
We are looking for a singer to sing primarily rock tunes that will focus on entertaining a crowd and getting people on the dance floor. While our focus is on rock after 1990, we do some classic rock as well. We just try to stay away from the songs that were already way overdone by the time the cell phone was invented.
You should be able to sing in tune and have a reasonable range. You should be able to commit yourself to a light schedule of a single weekly practice and an intended gig schedule of about 1-2x per month. You should be able to learn songs on your own and have them prepared for practice so that our time is spent most productively. And finally, you should be easy-going and easy to work with. Above all, we want this to be fun. We don’t want it to feel like going to work.
From us, you can expect the same. We are experienced musicians who primarily grew up on music from the 70’s-80’s. You can expect us to be very easy to work with. Though our experiences are varied, we are all quite competent on our instruments. The drummer and guitarist were in an original band for a few years that played festival main stages, various local clubs, got radio play, and was asked to open up for various recording artists. We have a bass player that has switched over from guitar, and we have a place to practice.
Our set list consists partly of the following artists: Foo Fighters, The Cult, Pearl Jam, Franz Ferdinand, Kings of Leon, My Chemical Romance, Tragically Hip, Collective Soul, James Gang, etc. Be sure, though, that whatever a singer brings to the table has a direct influence on what songs we will sound best doing, so anything that is or is not on our list is entirely up for revision.
