Sorry Girls is an up-and-coming Dream Pop duo from Montreal consisting of singer/songwriter Heather Kirkpatrick and Producer/songwriter Dylan Konrad Obront. Heavily influenced by early spooky ethereal 80s pop as well as 60s Motown pop, Sorry Girls pools from a wide variety of earlier influences to offer something nostalgic but innovative. Since their debut release Awesome Secrets in 2016, they have garnered the attention of prominent music critics such as Sean Michaels of Said the Gramophone!
SATURDAY A Tribute to QUEEN
$8 Adv or $10 at the door….
A Tribute to the music of QUEEN and Freddie Mercury
Queen are a British rock band that formed in London in 1970. Their classic line-up was Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (lead guitar, vocals), Roger Taylor (drums, vocals), and John Deacon (bass guitar). Queen’s earliest works were influenced by progressive rock, hard rock and heavy metal, but the band gradually ventured into more conventional and radio-friendly works by incorporating further styles, such as arena rock and pop rock, into their music.
Hamilton’s Tribute to QUEEN is back after a 10 year absence. Obviously this is just the start up page so you don’t forget the date, but we will be adding who the performances will be and what acts will be appearing on what will be an adventurous evening.
Truly A Night At The Opera.
Proceeds from the 4th Hamilton Tribute to QUEEN will be going to the one and only Jack Pedler..
Hamilton’s own beloved son, drummer Jack Pedler was recently hospitalized for a week after taking ill with a painful condition called “diverticulitis”.
He has had to cancel all his gigs and has undergone two operations, so far.
Jack is a full-time musician who relies solely on his income from gigs to pay his bills.
He’s shown Hamilton so much love as a dedicated full-time professional musician and top-drawer citizen of this city. Let’s give back to Jack! Let’s show him the LOVE!!!
Lori Yates was kind enough to start a gofundme campaign for donations.
Any spare cash for Jack would be greatly appreciated.https://www.gofundme.com/
There will also be a raffle of some really cool QUEEN items so expect a night of fun my dahlings……
